My Story - Joseph, Masters of Divinity, C.P.A. inactive

Accounting wasn’t something I set out to do initially— it’s something I fell into. But along the way, God redirected my path. I eventually went to seminary, sensing His call to ministry, and spent 12 years serving in nearly every role you can imagine: keeping the books, leading volunteers, serving on leadership teams, and mentoring others in their faith.

With a Master of Divinity, a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, and a CPA license, I’ve come to see my work as more than just numbers. God’s given me a unique gift for streamlining and cleaning up accounting systems — to the point where one of the churches I worked for, gained a reputation as the “gold standard” for clean financials and clean audits. But my favorite part isn’t just getting the numbers right; it’s bringing them to life, helping leaders see the story their financials are telling and bringing invaluable insight to guide their ministry into the future.

Now, through Revive Accounting Strategies, my desire is to use this blend of ministry and financial expertise to empower the Body of Christ. I believe that when ministries have clarity in their finances, they can walk forward in confidence, stay focused on their calling, and see God do more than they ever imagined.

Most importantly, I primarily see this endeavor as a ministry more than a business. While realizing there are costs to operating this mission, I first and foremost want to get to know you, your heart, vision, passion and also struggles.

This dream was born out of a deep calling to use my God-given gifts and talents to serve Christian ministries — helping them turn their financials around, refine strategy and alignment, and drive their mission and vision forward.
